High School Evacuated, Student Charged With Making Bomb Threat In Burlington County: Police

At 11:29 AM, Shawnee High School was evacuated late Thursday morning, Nov. 3 due to an online posting related to a destructive device being placed in a bathroom, authorities said.

A juvenile student was later charged with making the threat, according to Medford Township police.

The coordination of school officials, LRHSD representatives and officers from Medford Township Police Department, Medford Lakes Police Department as well as Medford Fire Personnel secured the scene as the school was evacuated.

Medford Township police bomb detection K-9’s were deployed confirming that the school was safe.

As a result of the investigation, a juvenile student was identified and later charged on a Juvenile Summons Complaint with Terroristic Threats, later released to his parents, police said.
